Known for its unique audio enhancing technology, superior sound quality that allows the users enjoy music, and Intuitive music access and control, the W980 Walkman phone features Walkman on top; intuitive music access and control, 8GB internal memory allowing storage of up to 8,000 songs; and built-in FM transmitter allowing users to send music on their phones to other devices. W890 has Clear stereo that enables the music to sound like the original recording. Its clear bass delivers distortion free sound even at higher volumes. The UMTS/HSDPA 2100 GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 W980 Walkman phone will be available for buyers in the third quarter of the current year. Additionally, Sony Ericsson has announced additions to its Cyber-shot range: the C702 Cyber-shot and the C902 Cyber-shot, and has launched its elegant clamshell phone, the Z770, and the XPERIA X1, Sony Ericsson's first handset to bundle the Windows Mobile OS. The company has also launched its first HSPA 7.2/2.0 devices with the ExpressCard/34 form factor -- the EC400 and EC400g at the Mobile World Congress. These phones will be available for customers in the 2nd or 3rd quarter of the current year respectively. Class action against T-Mobile USA over texting services
According to RCR-Wireless: T-Mobile USA Inc. has been hit with a class action suit over alleged charges for text messages received by consumers who do not want the feature.The suit, recently filed in the U.S. District Court in Seattle, claims T-Mobile USA charges for text messages regardless of whether customers want the missives.“T-Mobile refuses to disable the texting messaging feature on its customers’ accounts, even when the customer has no interest in sending, or, more importantly, receiving text messages,” stated plaintiffs representing Maria Detwiler and others. “Moreover, T-Mobile requires each of its customers who have not subscribed to one of T-Mobile’s Messaging Value Bundles to pay for each and every unsolicited text message they receive.
